Wilfred Loyd Dunn, age 93 passed away November 20, 2022. He was born April 24, 1929 in Dickey, North Dakota to Loyd Dunn and Lena Wenner Dunn. He was one of 15 children and 4 sets of twins with Wilfred and his sister Winifred being the 4th set. When Willie was 12 yrs. old his family moved from North Dakota to Mt. Clemens, Michigan where he grew up and later became an Electricia­n. He was a member of the IBEW Local 58 out of Detroit for many years. Willie also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He served 2 yrs. in the US Army and when he was 25 yrs. old he met and married the ‘Love of His Life’ Patricia Ann Duprey also of Mt. Clemens. They were married October 16, 1954 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens and together they raised 7 children. In 1978 Willie and Pat moved their entire family to Mesa, Arizona where he continued working in the Electrical field. Over his lifetime Willie built many homes not only for himself and his family but for others as well. He leaves behind his loving wife of 68 yrs. Patricia, children Denise (Mark) Curtis, Darlene (Dan) Arias, Tom (Pam) Dunn, Lori (Cody) Mardis, Bill (Fran) Dunn, John (Julie) Dunn, Bob (Marlene) Dunn, 10 Grandchild­ren, 3 Great-Grandchild­ren, sisters Clara (Dunn) Yore and Carol (Dunn) Deloach, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 5 to 7:30 pm with a rosary from 7:30 to 8:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Funeral Home 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church 1534 N. Recker Rd., Mesa, AZ 85205. From the church there will be a funeral procession to the Queen of Heaven Cemetery where Willie will be laid to rest.
