For those with a little extra time or money on/in their hands after the shopping frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTues­day provides a perfect opportunit­y to do just that — give.

GivingTues­day was created in 2012 with the goal of building a world where generosity is a part of everyday life. Ten years later, the concept has grown into a global movement of “radical generosity,” inspiring hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborat­e and celebrate generosity year-round. Just last month, the organizati­on received $10 million — its largest grant ever — from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GivingTues­day’s largest financial supporter.
