A trio charged with attempted murder and carjacking for a Warren gas station incident have been arraigned in Macomb County Circuit Court, where they face a pretrial early next year.

Javon Oliver, 19, Shakira Hayes, 27, and Michael McCall, 21, appeared in front of circuit Judge Julie Gatti after they were bound over by Judge John Chmura in 37th District Court in Warren following their joint preliminary examination Tuesday, Nov. 22, according to court records.

Oliver shot and wounded Joanna Withrow outside of her vehicle parked at the Sunoco station at Eight Mile and Ryan roads about 3 a.m. April 15 during the alleged carjacking, according to evidence, including video, presented at the exam. The threesome was captured about 12 hours later by Warren police after investigators used multiple videos to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle they were in, a GMC Envoy, and tracked the ownership to a residence on Stockton Avenue, located between McNichols and Seven Mile roads, and Ryan and Mound roads in Detroit, witnesses testified.

Withrow, 39, of Livonia at the time, who testified at the hearing, suffered one gunshot to her abdomen and two to her lower leg.

Her Nissan Altima was located in an alley off Van Dyke Avenue in Detroit one block from one of two residences where McCall said he resided, according to testimony.

The trio was also bound over on charges of conspiracy and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

They face a Jan. 4 pretrial in front of Gatti, according to court records.

All three are being held in the county jail in lieu of bond set at Oliver, $1 million; McCall, $750,000; and Hayes, $500,000.
