Event addresses active shooter scenarios
Building safety, employee mental health also among business preparation discussion
The Macomb County Chamber of Commerce and Macomb County Emergency Management and Communications Department will host a business preparedness event Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 8:30 a.m.
There will be a presentation and panel discussion focusing on: active shooter scenarios; building safety assessments; and addressing employee mental health after a crisis.
“We are proud to partner with the Macomb County chamber on this unique event to give small businesses information they can use to keep themselves and their customers safe in the event the unthinkable happens,” said Macomb County Emergency Management and Communications Director Brandon Lewis.
This event is open to the public and will be held at the Italian American Cultural Center at 43843 Romeo Plank Road in Clinton Township.
“We realize these are important and necessary topics to discuss,” said Kelley Lovati, Chamber President and CEO. “We feel this presentation is relevant on all levels and can open healthy conversations between our participants. Anything we can do to help prepare our businesses and communities for outside threats is necessary.”
The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Registration is open and those interested in attending can visit mccbiz.macombcountychamber.com/events/details/preparedness-breakast-2022-2754
