Bicyclist struck by car

Victim in stable condition at local hospital

Warren police report a man on a bicycle was hit by a car early Thursday evening on Van Dyke Avenue just south of 12 Mile Road.

Police say the 35-yearold man is in stable condition at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.

According to Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer, alcohol was not a factor in the collision and that it does not appear the driver of the car was speeding or had committed any traffic infractions such as an illegal turn.

No more information was available from police about the victim or the driver.
