Police seek help catching car thieves

Several vehicle break ins reported near Van Dyke corridor

Shelby Township police said they received several reports of vehicle break ins and other thefts overnight Dec. 1. Most of the incidents occurred in the areas of 23 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue, 23 Mile Road and M-53 and 26 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue. Police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to the thefts or anyone with camera footage of anyone suspicious near vehicles or homes to contact

the Shelby Township Police Department at 586731-2121 and ask for the detective bureau.
