Medicare open enrollment assistance Octagon house event

• Medicare beneficiaries who want to review their Medicare benefits during the open enrollment period from Oct. 15-Dec 7can get their coverage reviewed with help from Area Agency on Aging 1B’s Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) is offering in person and virtual appointments with certified Medicare counselors to get their needs evaluated for the coming year. Appointments are available by calling 800-803-7174. A phone number or a Zoom link will be sent before the session. • The Loren Andrus Octagon House will be hosting Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus on December 11. The House will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m. This will be the last open house of 2022. You can also take a self-guided tour of the house and enjoy many Christmas trees, wreaths and decorations with docents available on each floor to assist and gift shop with unique gift ideas, including books by local authors and other Christmas items.
