• “Knock at the Cabin” (R):
While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers. Starring Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge and Nikki Amuka-Bird. In theaters, Feb. 3.
“The Amazing Maurice” (PG):
Maurice is a streetwise ginger cat who comes up with a moneymaking scam by befriending a group of talking rats. Animated film with voices of Emilia Clarke, Hugh Bonneville, Gemma Arterton and Himesh Patel. In theaters, Feb. 3.
• “Freedom’s Path” (NR): A Union soldier runs from battle and is rescued by a heroic young Black man. Starring Gerran Howell, Carol Sutton, RJ Cyler and Harrison Gilbertson. In theaters, Feb. 3.
• “Infinity Pool” (R): A couple on vacation venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence and horror. Starring Mia Goth, Alexander Skarsgård, Cleopatra Coleman and Thomas Kretschman.
• “Fear” (R): A weekend vacation becomes a nightmare for a group of friends in this horror film. Starring King Bach, Joseph Sikora, T.I. and Terrence J., Annie Ilonzeh and Ruby Modine.
• “Maybe I Do” (PG-13): With their relationship at a crossroads, Michelle and Allen invite their parents to finally meet. As it turns out, their parents already know each other. Starring Emma Roberts, Richard Gere, Luke Bracey and Diane Keaton.
• “Missing” (PG-13): When her mother disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June searches for answers from her home in Los Angeles. Starring Storm Reid, Nia Long, Megan Suri and Ken Leung. • “The Son” (PG-13): The film centers on Peter (Hugh Jackman), whose busy life with his infant and new partner Beth (Vanessa Kirby) is upended when his exwife Kate (Laura Dern) appears at his door to discuss their son Nicholas (Zen McGrath), who is now a troubled teenager. Also starring Anthony Hopkins.
• “Plane” (R): Pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI.
• “House Party” (R): Comedy film about aspiring club promoters and buddies Damon and Kevin who are broke and in need of a huge windfall. Their solution is to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion owned by NBA superstar LeBron James. Starring LeBron James, D.C. Young Fly, Jacob Latimore and Andrew Santino.
• “Shin Ultraman”: Japanese superhero Kaiju film starring Masami Nagasawa, Akari Hayami, Takumi Saitoh and Hideaki Anno.
• “M3GAN” (PG-13): Sci-fi horror film about a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s companion. Equipped with artificial intelligence, the doll can listen, watch and learn as she becomes playmate, teacher and protector for a child. When the creator of the doll becomes the unexpected caretaker of her 8-year-old niece, she gives the girl a M3GAN prototype. Starring Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng and Brian Jordan Alvarez.
• “A Man Called Otto” (PG-13): A grumpy widower named Otto (Tom Hanks), has his life turned around when a lively young family moves in next door. Based on the New York Times bestseller, “A Man Called Ove”. Also starring Mariana Treviño, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Rachel Keller.
• “Puss in Boots-The Last Wish” (PG): DreamWorks Animation new adventure in the Shrek universe where daring outlaw Puss in Boots discovers that he has burned through eight of his nine lives and sets out to restore his nine lives. Starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Olivia Colman. • “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” (PG-13): Musical drama about Whitney Houston, (Naomi Ackie) as she rises to fame in the 1980s. Also starring Stanley Tucci and Ashton Sanders. • “Avatar-The Way of Water” (PG-13): Set more than a decade after the first film, “Avatar”, the new film centers on the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children) and their battles to stay alive. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet.
• “Strange World” (PG): Walt Disney Animation Studios’ adventure about a family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures. The voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie YoungWhite and Lucy Liu.
• “The Whale” (R): A reclusive English teacher tries to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. Starring Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Ty Simpkins and Hong Chau. • “Black Panther- Wakanda
Forever” (PG-13): Marvel Studios’ new superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther with the Wakandans fighting to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. Starring Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Danai Gurira.
• “Ticket to Paradise” (PG-13):
George Clooney and Julia Roberts star as a divorced couple who team up and travel to Bali to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they made 25years ago.
• “The Fabelmans” (PG-13):
A semi-autobiography based on Steven Spielberg’s own childhood growing up in Arizona, from age 7 to 18. Starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Gabriel LaBelle. Directed by Steven Spielberg.

• “Shotgun Wedding” R: Darcy and Tom gather their families for a destination wedding, but the ceremony gets put on hold when gunmen take everyone hostage. Starring Jennifer Lopez, Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Coolidge and Lenny Kravitz. Available on Amazon Prime Video.
• “You People” (R): Comedy about a new couple and their families who find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures. Starring Jonah Hill, Lauren London, David Duchovny, Nia Long, with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Eddie Murphy. Available on Netflix.
• “Pamela, A Love Story” (NR):
An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother. Starring Pamela Anderson. Available on Netflix.
• “Left Behind-Rise of the Antichrist” (PG-13): After millions of people vanish and the world falls into chaos, a charismatic leader rises to lead the UN. However, his intentions are more sinister than they appear. Starring Kevin Sorbo, Braeden Sorbo, Neal McDonough and Sarah Fisher. • “When You Finish Saving
the World” (R): A mother and her teenage son can’t seem to connect, yet they try to find that bond in other people. She latches on to a young boy she meets at her women’s shelter, while her son falls in love with an extremely political student at his school. Starring Finn Wolfhard, Alisha Boe, Julianne Moore and Billy Bryk.
• “The Old Way” (R): Retired gunslinger Colton Briggs (Nicolas Cage) faces the consequences of his past when the son of a man he murdered arrives to take his revenge. Also starring Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Noah Le Gros and
Clint Howard.
• “White Noise” (R): Drama about a contemporary American family as they attempt to deal with everyday life while grappling with the mysteries of love, death, and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world. Starring Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle and Raffey Cassidy. Available on Netflix.
• “The Pale Blue Eye” (R): The film is based on Louis Bayard’s novel of the same name. A cadet is found dead at West Point, on a morning in 1830. When the body arrives at the morgue, it’s discovered that the young man’s heart has been skillfully removed. The military academy’s leaders employ a local detective, Augustus
Landor (Christian Bale), to solve the murder. Landor enlists the help of a cadet portraying a young Edgar Allan Poe (Harry Melling). Available on Netflix.
• “Devotion” (PG-13): Based on the true story of Jesse Brown, the first Black aviator in U.S. Naval history, and his friendship with fellow fighter pilot Tom Hudner. They helped to turn the tide in the most brutal battle in the Korean War, making them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen. Starring Glen Powell, Jonathan Majors, Daren Kagasoff and Joe Jonas.
• “Triangle of Sadness” (R): A cruise for the super-rich sinks, leaving survivors, including a fashion model celebrity couple, trapped on an island. Starring Charlbi Dean Kriek, Harris Dickinson, Woody Harrelson and Dolly De Leon.
• “Glass Onion-A Knives Out Mystery” (PG-13): In the follow up to Rian Johnson’s “Knives
Out”, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to solve a mystery involving a new cast of suspects. Starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn and Leslie Odom Jr. Available on Netflix.
• “Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths” (R): The journey of Silverio, a Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker living in Los Angeles, who receives a prestigious international award. He then returns to his native country where he experiences an existential crisis and grapples with his identity, familial relationships and memories. Starring Daniel Giménez Cacho, Griselda Siciliani, Ximena Lamadrid, and Iker Solano. Available on Netflix.
• “The Menu” (R): A couple
(Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travels to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.
• “Tad, the Lost Explorer and the Emerald Tablet” (PG): New film in the Tad series, where Tad accidentally unleashes a curse that endangers the lives of his friends, and then sets out to save them. Animated, with voices of Luis Posada, Alexandra Jiménez, Michelle Jenner and José Corbacho.
• “Lyle Lyle Crocodile” (PG): When a family moves to New
York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and friends. But that changes when he discovers Lyle, a singing crocodile (voice of Shawn Mendes) and the two become friends. Starring Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley.
• “Bones and All” (R): Based on the novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis, the film stars Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet as two cannibalistic lovers who embark on a road trip across 1980’s America.
• “Violent Night” (R): A group of mercenaries attack the estate of a wealthy family on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage. However Santa Claus is on the grounds and they better watch out. Starring David Harbour, Beverly D’Angelo and Cam Gigandet.
• “I Heard the Bells”: The film tells the true story behind the Christmas carol and the author, Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Starring Stephen Atherholt, Rachel Day Hughes and Jonathan Blair.
• “Spirited” (PG-13): A musical version of Charles Dickens’ story. Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Will Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge and Clint Briggs (Ryan Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host. Streaming on Apple TV+.
• “She Said” (R): Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star as New York Times journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who together broke the story exposing sexual abuse allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, the story that helped launch the #Metoo movement. Directed by Maria Schrader.
• “Black Adam” (PG-13): In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed with the powers of the gods, and then imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000years have passed, and he is now free, ready to unleash his form of justice on the modern world. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo and Pierce Brosnan.
• “Armageddon Time” (R):
A coming-of-age story about the strength of family and the generational pursuit of the American Dream. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Strong, Anne Hathaway and Michael Banks Repeta.
• “Prey for the Devil” (PG): Horror film about the Roman Catholic Church combatting a global rise in demonic possessions by reopening schools to train priests to perform exorcisms. Although nuns are forbidden to perform this ritual, a professor trains Sister Ann (Jacqueline Byers) who finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl who’s possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years earlier.
Also starring Colin Salmon and Christian Navarro.
• “One Piece Film-Red” (PG13): Anime film about Uta, a beloved singer who is renowned for concealing her own identity when performing.
• “Emancipation” (R): Inspired by the true story of a man who would do anything for his family — and for freedom. When Peter, an enslaved man, risks his life to escape and return to his family, he embarks on a perilous journey of love and endurance. Starring Will Smith, Ben Foster and Mustafa Shakir. Available streaming on Apple TV+.
• “Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio” (PG): A darker version of the classic children’s fairy tale of a wooden puppet that transforms into a real living boy. Directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson. Animated, starring voices of Gregory Mann, Ewan McGregor, Finn Wolfhard and Cate Blanchett. Available on Netflix.
