Leadership transitions at Giffels Webster consulting firm
Detroit headquartered Giffels Webster, a consulting firm that specializes in planning and land development and infrastructure solutions has announced a leadership transition plan.
The leadership transition plan includes the promotion of Mike Kozak to president and Mike Marks to treasurer as well as including the retirement of longtime partners Scott Clein, John Redash and Scott Ringler in the fall.
Kozak joined Giffels Webster in 2001 and has served as partner since 2016, most recently leading the firm’s Macomb office located in Washington Township. He has extensive experience with private land development and municipal engineering services. The Grosse Pointe
Park resident is a graduate of Lawrence Technical University.
Marks has more than 22 years of service at the firm, with experience in urban redevelopment, helping clients navigate complex infrastructure and regulatory networks to achieve success in the revitalization of the city of Detroit. He is a resident of Grosse Pointe and a graduate of Michigan State University.
Clein joined the firm and established the firm’s Detroit office in 1996 where he oversaw design teams for nearly two decades, having make a mark on the planning, design implementation of Detroit
development projects, most notably Detroit’s non motorized Transportation Master Plan, Campus Martius and the Wurlitzer Building.
Redash joined the firm in 1986 and managed most of the firm’s major survey projects, including the Ford Rouge Plant, Little Caesar’s Arena, Comerica Park and the Village of Rochester Hills.
Ringler joined the firm in 1988 and has served as the engineer of record for the city of Ferndale for more than 25 years and the city of Lathrup Village for more than 20 years.
