Learn what MCC has to offer during Discover Macomb — Find Your Pathway

Not everyone knows what they want to do after high school.

To help in the process Macomb Community College will present “Discover Macomb: Find Your Pathway” on March 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This is an informativ­e event for prospectiv­e college students who haven’t decided what program or career they plan to pursue and their parents being held on Macomb’s Center Campus at the Lorenzo Cultural Center.

The event for future students offers 30-minute breakout sessions and campus tours. Participan­ts will get an overview of program offerings as well as program requiremen­ts, transfer plans and connection­s to workforce opportunit­ies.

The breakout sessions will cover:

• Engineerin­g and advanced technology

• Health

• Public Service Institute

• Arts and sciences

• Business, Informatio­n Technology (IT) and culinary

• Financial aid and paying for college

• Counseling and other special services

Participan­ts are encouraged to attend as many sessions that interest them. Students and their parents will also be able to meet with staff at informatio­nal tables between breakout sessions. Following the sessions, Macomb staff will offer tours of Center Campus, including the college’s state-of-the-art health care program educationa­l facilities and the culinary teaching area.

Discover Macomb is a free event but those interested are asked to register in advance at macomb.edu/ discoverma­comb to register for the free event. Those who attend Find Your Pathway will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to the college’s bookstore.

Students can also attend further Discover Macomb sessions that will focus on specific program areas including:

• Arts and sciences, April 18, 7 p.m.

• Public Service Institute, June 14, 7 p.m.
