Like a good riddle? What has a neck but no head? A bottle.

The more you take, the more you leave behind, what am I?

Footsteps.

How about a family friendly event?

Both of these make CARE of Southeastern Michigan’s annual road rally and scavenger hunt, Rally 4 CARE a fun event on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“It is a one of a kind family friendly event that supports the important work we do in the community that benefits local students,” said Susan Styf, CARE president and CEO.

The family friendly, fun filled road rally begins at Freedom Hill at 11 a.m.

Teams pick up a rally packet and begin by solving clues and riddles to find out the next location. At each stop along the way teams will collect raffle tickets that they can use at the final stop to win prizes.

The fun for some are the riddles and for others it’s the collection of great prizes. This year’s grand prize is $1,000. There’s also a Detroit sports package featuring two lower level, front row tickets to a 2023 Detroit Lions home game, a golf package for four to the University of Michigan golf course, and so much more.

Being a family event there are also separate prizes for children and all kids registered on teams get their own raffle ticket for a chance to win.

Last year’s event raised $24,000.

This helps to support the programs at CARE, a nonprofit in the community since 1977, that services and impacts over 100,000 lives each year through its substance use prevention, treatment and recovery services as well as community camps for youth and student assistance for schools throughout southeastern Michigan.

Supporting this year’s Rally 4 CARE as a sponsor is First State Bank and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

The road rally is open to the public and tickets are only $25 each per team.

‘It is a unique fundraiser that highlights various locations in Macomb County.” Styf said.
