Food distribution events
Hope for the Hungry Food Pantry through St. Peter Lutheran Church of Macomb will distribute food from 6-7 p.m. March 7 1-2 p.m. March 21 at 24125 26 Mile Road, Ray Township. This will be a drive-thru event and those getting food are asked to show their driver’s license or state ID card. You should park in a parking spot in the west parking lot and wait to be checked in. Those attending may not pick up for a family other than their own, unless arrangements have been made ahead of time. For more information, visit hopeforthehungrypantry.org.
Fundraising events
Samaritan House 13th annual Pasta and Chicken Dinner from 5-9 p.m. March 6 at the Palazzo Grande, 54660 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48315. Event includes entertainment by magician Mark Luedtke and DJ Kenny Love, along with raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are $40for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Tables of 10 are available. Tickets are available online at samaritanhousemichigan.org or at our pantry at 62324Van Dyke, Washington Township. George Washington birthday party
The Washington Historical Museum, 58230 Van Dyke Avenue, will be open from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 25. Visitors will be able to tour the museum exhibits and view the 27finalist submissions in the Ron Gordon Memorial Art Contest. Refreshments will be served. This event is free, and all are welcome.

Widowed friends events
Dancing every Tuesday at Polish Century Club, 33204 Maple Lane, Sterling Heights. Doors open at 6 p.m.; music from 7-10:30 p.m. Cost is $8per person with a cash bar. A table will be reserved for Widowed Friends. Contact Victoria at 586-566-7936.
