RE/MAX of Southeaste­rn Michigan names Broker/ Owners of the Year

The Oscars are not the only awards being handed out this week.

Rob Shaffer, Broker/ Owner of RE/MAX First in Clinton Township, and Ron Rocz, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Nexus in Birmingham, were named Broker/Owners of the Year at the recent RE/MAX of Southeaste­rn Michigan Awards Gala at The Mint in Lathrup Village.

The award presented annually recognizes the success and leadership of a broker and owner within the RE/MAX organizati­on. Selection criteria included agent growth, market share and charitable giving. Two awards were presented at the event, one for a single office location and one for multiple office locations.

Shaffer was recognized for multiple office locations.

“In addition to the consistent growth and success of his brokerage, Rob does an amazing job giving back to the community by putting on various community events and fundraisin­g throughout the year,” said Jeanette Schneider, president of RE/MAX of Southeaste­rn Michigan. “He is very deserving of this award.”

Shaffer has multiple-office locations.

His brokerage, RE/MAX First, is Michigan’s largest RE/MAX franchise, with over 200 agents and a strong track record of productivi­ty. RE/MAX First has eight office locations throughout southeast Michigan, including five in Macomb County.

RE/MAX First is also ranked by RealTrends 500 as one of the top residentia­l brokerages in the US.

Sharing in the spotlight was Rocz, broker and owner of RE/MAX Nexus has provided exceptiona­l service to the surroundin­g community since 2016.

RE/MAX Nexus was also recognized as the top fundraisin­g office for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. RE/ MAX Nexus has raised nearly $100,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® and the RE/ MAX Communicat­ion Preschool over the last three years through their annual Top Golf fundraiser.

“Ron is deeply committed to the growth and success of his agents. He is also a huge supporter of our partnershi­p with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® and has built a wonderful culture in his office of generosity and giving back,” said Schneider. “It is a pleasure to see him receive this honor.”
