Restaurant Week on the Nautical Mile kicks off on April 8, a month earlier than in past several years.

“We decided to move it up a month because things are still quiet around here,” said Nautical Mile Merchants Association Director and Gifts Afloat owner Donna Flaherty. “Once May comes, it starts getting crazy.”

Restaurant Week this year will be the appetizer for the busy boating season on the Nautical Mile.

Fishbones, Hook, Leo’s Coney Island, Pat O’Brien’s, Pegasus, Mikes on the Water, Brunch With Me, Watermark, New Order Coffee and Zef’s Dockside Kitchen & Bar are all offering special pricing or special menu items during restaurant week.

The Nautical Mile’s newest eatery, Brunch With Me, will add mahi and grits, smoked salmon omelet, Balkan benedict, and cevapi hash to its regular menu.

Zef’s Dockside Kitchen & Bar will use restaurant week to introduce its spring cocktail menu, which includes several fruity, tangy concoctions like the kiwi fizz, spring refresher, and spicy margarita.

Watermark has a menu of specially priced food items for restaurant week and New Order Coffee offers a free coffee with any breakfast sandwich order.

Flaherty said it is a great week to visit old favorites, but also to try someplace new that could end up becoming a new favorite eatery.

“There is a lot happening on the Nautical Mile and this helps to bring attention to it,” said Flaherty.
