Celebrating 20 years of presenting music that embraces the diversity of backgrounds in Hawaii, Ebb & Flow Arts announces an anniversary concert beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Makawao Union Church, 1445 Baldwin Ave.
Featuring New York-based pianist Adam Tendler, the recipient of the 2019 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists, the program will include selections by John Cage, Luciano Berio, Johanna Beyer, Arthur Berger, George Walker and Bo Nillson. Tendler is recognized as a leading interpreter of American music and has performed solo
recitals in all 50 U.S. states.
“Ebb & Flow Arts began its concerts in July 1999,” enthuses composer, pianist and E&FA Founder Robert Pollack. “On behalf of the board, staff and volunteers, we are grateful for the community's support over the years. Maui audiences understand that the avant-garde in music and art is an essential part of these artforms."
