If you’re not into bubbly or are looking for more substantive dining choices, you are still in the right vicinity. Montage has recently unveiled The Hideaway at Kapalua Bay, which offers a casual setting and serves local fare and island-inspired cocktails.

The perfectly curated menu pays homage to traditional comfort food with pupu or light-bite selections including classic chicken wings, coconut shrimp satay and shrimp cocktail martinistyle. For a bit heartier of an appetite, choices include a classic Wagyu hamburger or sourdough flatbread. For more adventurous tastes, nibble on blistered shishito peppers with Surfing Goat “ranch” dressing or spiced malasadas with Maui Gold pineapple jam.

The signature cocktails present creative spins on classic drinks including a “Lilikaloma” made with Cazadores Reposado Tequila, Giffard Creme de Pompelmousse Rose and passionfruit, or the “Bee Keeper” featuring Val’s Botanical Gin, absinthe, moringa, honey and lemon.

Both venues at Montage are walk-in only. The Hideaway is open to all.
