Reuben Aotaki

June 4, 1953 – June 8, 2020

Reuben Aotaki was born on June 4, 1953 in Lahaina, Hawaii. He graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1971, then received an aviation degree in Los Angeles. He lived at various times in Lahaina and Huntington Beach, California. Reuben enjoyed working whether it be in the yard, garden, projects around the house, vehicles or cooking - mixed with the occasional playing with Happy, the dog. He especially liked it after his retirement in July 2016, when he said he could get up whenever he wanted to. He was active and loved to be outdoors - always in the yard and liked to go skiing in Big Bear or Mammoth, California. Reuben passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2020, at the age of 67.

He is predeceased by his father Masao, mother Kimie and older brother Dick; survived by his sisters, Elaine and Judy; and niece Samantha. Private funeral service was held at Lahaina Jodo Mission on June 28, 2020.
