Latest developmen­ts:

State Department of Health on Friday reported 138 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 61 cases on Oahu, 29 cases on Hawaii island, 21 cases on Kauai, 13 cases on Maui, two on Molokai and 12 residents diagnosed out of state.

There have now been 85,628 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 58,537 on Oahu, 11,363 in Hawaii County, 10,076 in Maui County (9,686 on Maui, 245 on Molokai and 145 on Lanai) and 2,860 on Kauai. A total of 2,792 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

Five new deaths were reported Friday; the statewide fatality count is now at 976.

Honolulu County is averaging 47 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 1.3 percent, followed by Kauai County at 22 cases and 4.7 percent, Hawaii County at 21 cases and 3.3 percent and Maui County at 11 cases and 1.4 percent.

Hawaii has reached a 72.1 percent vaccinatio­n rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 75 percent, Kauai County at 68 percent, Hawaii County at 67 percent and Maui County at 65 percent.
