Congress has become tool of an unprincipled misfit
It is obvious that neither the president nor Congress is in charge. Aside from those who are highly conditioned by code words and the bravado of the president or who are financially or emotionally invested in him or who are just plain obstinate in the face of coarseness unbefitting the presidency, people realize that Donald Trump lacks policy, principle, plan, purpose or ideology. Before us stands a large but empty suit.
Congress has reluctantly become a tool of an unprincipled misfit in a position of power. Neither Congress nor the president is creating policy, suggesting or writing laws or fully understanding the ramifications of so many rollbacks of regulations. In almost all cases, the rollbacks favor the asset classes to the detriment of widespread human needs. I am referring to issues of safety, security, proper health care, ecological balance and environmental protection.
Of course, money has always controlled the U.S. government. But the puppet masters used to hide their directing fingers. Now we have a real Pinocchio, who, in addition to lying, is moved, corrected and puffed up by men who may be less hollow, but who suffer far more from an awareness that at the conclusion of the chess game of life, both the pawn and the king go into the same box.
It may be that this haunting realization and persistent fear drive the social criminals to psychological and collective destruction.
