Gabbard’s commitment to Hawaii remains unparalleled

I’d like to express my gratitude and admiration for Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard’s tireless efforts to bring supplies and real “boots on the ground” help to the people of Kauai and Hawaii who have been devastated by recent natural disasters.

In addition to her deployment with the Hawaii Army National Guard assisting the state’s civil defense efforts related to the eruptions on Kilauea, Gabbard has also enlisted the aid of Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham’s Christian faith-based international aid organization dedicated to meeting the needs of people who are victims of natural disasters and other devastation.

Gabbard has facilitated and supported the ongoing efforts of Samaritan’s Purse to provide tools, supplies and volunteer laborers to assist families with repairs to their flood-ravaged homes on Kauai.

At Gabbard’s request, Samaritan’s Purse has now committed $100,000 to providing respirators to Hawaii island residents affected by the ash and vog from ongoing volcanic eruptions.

Whether she’s working with her sleeves rolled up and mud on her boots or acting as our voice in the halls of Congress, Tulsi Gabbard’s commitment to serving alongside the people of her home state of Hawaii remains unparalleled.
