Cannabis dispensary extends its hours

Because of increased patient demand, Maui Grown Therapies has extended its operating hours to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends, according to an announcement.

The new medical cannabis dispensary hours went into effect Oct. 1.

“Demand has grown steadily over the past year, and some of our patients have asked for

the chance to shop a little earlier,” said Teri Freitas Gorman, director of community relations and patient affairs.

Maui Grown opened as the state’s first legal dispensary on Aug. 8, 2017. The business was the first in the state to receive a notice to proceed with medical cannabis cultivation, product manufacturing and retail sales.
