Sugimura to hold monthly ‘talk story’

The Maui News - - TODAY’S PEOPLE -

Maui County Council Member Yuki Lei Sugimura will host her monthly “talk story” outreach event from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Upcountry Farmers Market, according to an announcement.

The market is located at the Kulamalu Town Center, near Longs Drugs in Pukalani.

The location is “a great outdoor venue for sharing concerns, discussing challenges and giving feedback on local issues,” Sugimura said.

Sugimura holds the council’s Upcountry residency seat and chairs the council’s Policy, Economic Development and Agriculture Committee. She’s also a member of the Kula Agricultural Park Committee.

She meets with members of the public to hear their concerns on the second Saturday of the month. For more information, visit MauiCounty. us/sugimura or call 270-7939.
