COVID-19 AT A GLANCE

Latest developments:

■ State Department of Health reported 106 new cases as of 11:59 p.m. Monday, including 73 on Oahu, 11 on Maui, seven on Hawaii island and two on Kauai. Thirteen residents were diagnosed outside of the state.

■ There now have been

23,733 cases statewide, including 19,462 on Oahu, 2,037 in Hawaii County, 1,473 in Maui County (1,342 on Maui, 106 on Lanai and 25 on Molokai) and 169 in Kauai County. A total of 592 cases have been diagnosed out of state.

■ Three deaths were reported on Wednesday, including a Maui man in his 60s, an Oahu woman in her 40s and an Oahu male in his 50s. All had underlying conditions and were hospitalized.

■ There have now been 312 deaths reported statewide, including 244 on Oahu, 45 on Hawaii island, 19 on Maui, one on Kauai and three out of state.

■ Free drive-thru testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Hana Ball Park.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on identifying COVID-19:

■ Fever and cough are symptoms.

■ Most people have mild illness and are able to recover at home. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID19, contact your health care provider immediately.

■ Keep track of symptoms.

■ If you have an emergency warning sign (including trouble breathing), get medical attention right away.

■ Some people who are not showing symptoms could have the illness.

Methods for preventing illness include:

■ Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after nose-blowing, coughing or sneezing.

■ If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.

■ Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

■ Avoid contact with people who are sick; stay home if sick.

■ Wear a face mask in public settings. The mask is intended to protect others.

■ Social distancing: Stay 6 feet apart from others.

■ Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
