THE

FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicati­ng liquor occurred during the period of June 9 to 18. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilita­tion program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Lielle Asherov, 25, address unavailabl­e; DUI, lack of due care; $300 in fines, plus fees.

Thomas Boomer, 75, Wailuku; DUI, inattentio­n to driving; $600 in fines, plus fees.

Princes Joyce Esponilla, 20, address unavailabl­e; DUI, prohibited possession of alcohol, lack of due care; $350 in fines, plus fees, 75 hours of community service.

Kanoa Hokoana, 19, Haiku; DUI, inattentio­n to driving; $600 in fines, plus fees.

Katherine Peterson, 34, address unavailabl­e; DUI; $300 fine, plus fees.

Itagia Williams, 35, address unavailabl­e; DUI, driving after license suspended or revoked for operating a vehicle under the influence; three-day jail term, $500 in fines, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

IS A LIST of residentia­l burglaries, stolen vehicles and vehicle break-ins in Maui County reported to the Maui Police Department from June 6 to 12. The list includes the majority of reports during the period and gives the approximat­e time of occurrence of the crimes. The informatio­n is compiled by the Maui Police Department Community Relations Section which helps residents organize Neighborho­od Crime Watch groups throughout Maui.
