Police seek relatives of unclaimed bodies

The Maui Police Department is asking for help in contacting family members of 11 unclaimed bodies at its forensic facility.

If the bodies go unclaimed after a reasonable amount of time, they will be cremated, police said in a news release.

¯ Rickey Moore, who died Feb. 15, 2021, at age 62. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 244 pounds with blonde/gray hair and brown eyes.

¯ Charles Powell, who died March 4, 2021, at age 54. He was 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed 175 pounds. He was bald with a black-and-white ungroomed mustache and brown eyes. He had tattoos of monkeys on his left arm, a cow skull on the back, a band of musical notes around his left wrist and a shark on his forearm. He also had multiple tattoos on his right arm including a yin/yang sun, palm tree and waves.

¯ George Kahula, who died Aug. 11 at age 61. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 182 pounds with white hair.

¯ Daniel Reed, who died March 14 at age 74. He was bald, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 175 pounds.

Barbara Dickenson, who died Jan. 10 at age 75. She was 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 233 pounds with brown/gray hair and hazel eyes. She had scattered scars on her arms, hands and legs.

¯ Charles Stuart, who died April 13, 2021 at age 61. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 141 pounds with brown hair and blue-gray eyes.

¯ Robert Dill, who died May 22, at age 68. He was 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 82 pounds with gray hair.

¯ Jess Mcgowan, who died Dec. 4 at age 54. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 100 pounds.

¯ Richard Smith, who died Jan. 7 at age 70. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 149 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He had scattered scars on his arms, legs and hip.

¯ Nicholas Warhus, who died Feb. 13 at age 51. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 201 pounds with brown hair and eyes. His tattoos included geometric shapes encircling his right arm, two feathers on his right arm, geometric shapes on his right forearm, a tribal tattoo on his right forearm, “queen” on his left arm and tribal tattoos encircling his left forearm to wrist.

¯ Kathleen Reiff, who died March 2 at age 78. She was 5 feet tall and weighed 152 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
