Barrett “Butch” Clyde Ramos, 66, of Paia, peacefully entered heaven on January 25, 2024. He was born on July 26, 1957, in Honolulu. Despite a courageous battle with brain cancer, his essence remained strong through his final days.

Butch was devoted to his family and leaves behind his wife and best friend of 18 years Michelle, daughters Shelly, Pareese, Ashley Ann, son Stevens, grandchild­ren Ikaika, Kaleo, Ha’akea, Anela, Avelo, great grandchild­ren Kaleo, Kanoa, Kale’a, sister Teresa and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stevens and Roena, brothers Stephan, Gerald, Stanley, sisters Iris and Laurieann.

Butch was a loving, compassion­ate, honest, and hard-working individual. He touched the lives of those around him with his kind and caring nature and his ability to make people laugh.

In addition to his personal relationsh­ips, Butch had a distinguis­hed military career. He proudly served as an Army Ranger for 10 years, demonstrat­ing his dedication and bravery in defense of our country.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Friday, March 1st at Holy Rosary Church in Paia with a Military burial at Maui Veterans Cemetary in Makawao at 1pm. Reception to follow at Haliimaile Annex.

The loss of Butch leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind.
