Victorino leads Molokai softball team to 23-7 win over Hana
Piimoku Victorino’s big day led the Molokai School softball team to a 23-7, three-inning win over Hana on Saturday in Hoolehua.
Victorino smacked a grand slam homer in the first inning and later added two-run homer for the Farmers, who improved to 3-1 in Maui Interscholastic League Division II play.
Victorino finished 3 for 4 at the plate with four runs scored and seven RBIs. She was the winner in the circle as well.
Hana fell to 0-4.
In MIL Division I play Saturday, Baldwin improved to 7-0 with an 8-0 win over Lahainaluna (25).
Lennel Olaivar-Sugse pitched a complete-game three-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk for the Bears. Bailey Nagasako tripled and homered for Baldwin.
Maui High downed Kamehameha Maui 14-4 in six innings. Kallye Pali led the Sabers at the plate with a 2-for-4 day that included a home run, two runs and four RBIs.
Maui High is now alone in second place at 4-4, while Kamehameha Maui fell to 2-5 in the 12-game regular season.
