Doris Claire (Canclini) Pinckney of Fort Bragg passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020 at WellQuest Memory Care in Elk Grove, California at the age of 92. Her children celebrated her birthday two days prior on a Zoom call.

Doris was born on December 19, 1928 in Fort Bragg, California to Anthony Sr. and Annie Canclini. She attended local schools and graduated from Fort Bragg High School in 1946. She married, her first husband Edward Silveria on June 29, 1947 and shared four children with him. She married Willis Pinckney on January 20, 1981.

In 1984, along with her husband Willis, they opened and operated Claire’s Pie and Desserts, a very successful business for 16 years. Aside from the locals and tourist visiting the area, she also made pies for Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn during filming in the Fort Bragg area and the cast of Murder She Wrote. Previously to opening the pie shop Doris worked as a registrar in the Emergency Room at Mendocino Coast District Hospital.

Doris was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Sequoia Post 96, Fort Bragg Grange 672, as well as a member of the Timber Toppers and Redwood Coasters Square Dancers. She also enjoyed cruises, volleyball, annual family reunions, gardening and bus trips to casinos. She truly loved watching her children play sports as they grew up.

Doris is survived by her three children, Wayne (Lisa) Silveria, Doreen (Bill) Larsen, and Bruce Silveria and her stepchildr­en, Leigh Halls, Sylviann (Dave) Marr and Stephen (Sheila) Pinckney, in addition to 12 grandchild­ren and 18 great-grandchild­ren.

Doris was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Willis, son Randall Silveria , stepson Frank Pinckney, sister Laura Spini and brother Anthony (Tony) Canclini, Jr.

Private services will be held at Rose Memorial Park and a remembranc­e of her life will be scheduled at a later date.
