Pets of the week: Newton and Tosito

-

Dog: Introducing Newton! This loveable goofball is freshly two years old and ready to have your home be his forever home. Newton is a medium Mastiff breed dog with a gorgeous white and shaded yellow & tan coat; you may have even seen him at some of our recent events! What this dog really needs is a dependable owner who will love him unconditionally. Someone who has the time to play lots of fetch with him and also help him with his leash training. When you come into our kennels, the first thing you’ll notice about Newton is how calmly and patiently he sits and waits for someone to come up and pet him. The best words to describe him are an overgrown puppy. From what we’ve seen, he plays well with other dogs and is cat-friendly (tried and tested!) So if you’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic dog who needs a devoted companion, Newton is your guy!

Cat: This little snack is ready to go home with you! (Hold the salsa, please.) Tostito was born around 2016, and this sweet, friendly guy always enjoys visits and attention from humans. (Unfortunately, he does not feel that way about other cats.) If you’re in the market for a cat who’s still young enough to be active and playful but not so young that they’re exhausting or destructive, Tostito is your guy. Come on down and meet him! We don’t know how Tostito feels about dogs, but he may be okay with a careful introduction. We also haven’t seen him interact with young, fast-moving kids yet, but we will keep you posted.
