The 2023 Writers of the Mendocino Coast Anthology Readings Part 2. Note, the new time and place: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Third Sunday (March 19), The Well (at the corner of Albion and Lansing in Mendocino, head down Albion toward the ocean. The Well is on the first block on the right, between The Great Put On and the Garden Bakery). Come a little early to allow for parking. Masking is encouraged. Continuing with celebratin­g 2023 anthology writings from Common Ground, the following authors will read fiveminute excerpts from their poems and stories: Aron Lee Bowe (Sharon Bowers), Michelle Blackman, Notty Bumbo, Molly Dwyer, Elizabeth Kirkpatric­k-Vrenios, Matthew Sidney Long, Ericka Lutz, Peter Nash, Jonathan Pazer, Steve Sapontzis (to be read by Robert Goleman), Chrissy Sullivan, Holly Tannen, Karin Uphoff, Norma Watkins, and Philip Zwerling.

Zoom. The program offers an advanced look at an important new resource coming soon to Mendocino County. Brandy Maxwell, Recruitmen­t & Training Coordinato­r for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), will explain CASA’s soon-tobe-launched “24/7 Help” website and app. The website and associated apps will list all resources for youth and adults in Mendocino and Lake Counties. Apps will be available for Android and Apple. In addition, to use by individual­s, and service providers will be able to give clients resources immediatel­y through phone or email.
