Tennessee 102, Texas 61: Shanna Zolman scored 23 points, Candace Parker added 17 points and 14 rebounds, and the No. 2 Lady Vols (6-0) bolted to a 17-0 lead en route to throttling the No. 16 Longhorns (3-2) in Knoxville, Tenn.

The closest the Longhorns got before halftime was 37-24 after Earnesia Williams hit a jumper and Nina Norman had a three-pointer, but Tennessee responded with Zolman’s three-pointer.

Nick Fazekas scored 21 of his 35 points in the second half and made a disputed block in the closing seconds, and No. 20 Nevada held off Kansas’ second-half comeback to win 72- 70 Thursday in Lawrence, Kan.

The Jayhawks (2-3) got to within 71- 70 on Micah Downs’ three-pointer with 17.6 seconds left, but the Wolf Pack (4-0) went up 72- 70 when Mo Charlo hit the second of two foul shots with 6.9 seconds remaining.

On Kansas’ final possession, Jeff Hawkins, surrounded near the baseline, passed to C.J. Giles in the lane. But Fazekas knocked the ball away as Giles went up to shoot, and time ran out.

‘‘C.J. said he got fouled, but obviously we didn’t get the call,’’ Kansas Coach Bill Self said.

Dayton 63, Pepperdine 45: In Dayton, Ohio, Monty Scott and Norman Plummer each scored 13 points as the Flyers (4-2) beat the Waves (1-3).

Idaho State 88, Boise State 79: In Pocatello, Idaho, David Schroeder had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Bengals (3- 1) topped the Broncos (2-2).

UC-Davis 69, USF 55:

Ellen Porshneva, a former St. Francis High star, scored 18 points to lead four Aggies in double figures as UC-Davis (2-3) beat the Lady Dons (2-4) in Davis.

UC-Riverside 71, St. Mary’s 61: Kemie Nkele had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Highlander­s (4- 1) beat the Gaels (2-3) in Riverside.

Weber State 65, Loyola Marymount 55: Chelsea Warburton had 13 points to lead five Wildcats in double figures as Weber State (3-2) beat the Lions (1-4) in Ogden, Utah.

Boise State 85, Utah Valley State 55: Jackie Lee scored 21 points and Benita Buggs added 17 as the Broncos (6-0) stopped the Wolverines (2-3) in Boise, Idaho.
