2200 block of South Winchester Boulevard, 4:51 p.m. Tuesday A female told police someone stole her wallet. Midway and Ridgley streets, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Police observed a male cutting a lock off a bicycle. Upon being confronted, he fled. Officers caught him shortly afterward and said he was in possession of methamphet­amine. 14500 block of South Bascom-Avenue, 4:14 a.m. Tuesday Someone activated an alarm after breaking a lock in an attempt to gain entry. Harrison and Grant streets, 9 p.m. Monday A woman told police her car window was smashed while inside as an unidentifi­ed individual reached in and grabbed her arm.

MILPITAS

Great Mall Drive, Tuesday Someone stole items valued at $400 at a business and $400 cash.

PALO ALTO

700 block of Palo Alto Avenue, 6:18 p.m. Tuesday A license plate was stolen from a vehicle. 3900 block of Nelson Drive, 1:50 p.m. Tuesday Items were stolen from a vehicle. A similar incident occurred earlier on Hanover Street. 1500 Sand Hill Road, 8:10 a.m. Monday Police say someone stole bicycles. Similar events occurred a short time

later in different areas. 1200 block of Middlefiel­d Road, 12:33 a.m. Sunday Someone stole property and cash from a church and a preschool. Video surveillan­ce footage shows an elderly female triggered the church alarm. She was apprehende­d.

FOSTER CITY

Lakeside Drive, 7:51 p.m. Tuesday Someone reportedly stole an iPad. Foster City Boulevard, 8:40 p.m. Monday Someone smashed the window of a car and stole a laptop computer. A rash of car burglaries occurred within an hour of this incident.
