“To be inducted into the Hall of Fame and have my name read in the same sentence with our country’s best is truly humbling,” said Chastain.
Chastain, 47, might be best known for a gamewinning penalty kick at the 1999 Women’s World Cup in the Rose Bowl in a 12-year international career that included three World Cups and three Summer Olympics.
