SAN JOSE » Newmark Knight Frank, a veteran commercial realty brokerage, has agreed to move its Silicon Valley headquarters to San Jose’s Santana Row by exiting Santa Clara.

The realty company leased 18,000 square feet of offices at 3055 Olin Ave. in the Santana Rowmixeduse retail, restaurant, hotel, residential and office complex whose developer is Federal Realty.

“It’s great to plant our flag at Santana Row,” said Charles Seufferlein, president of NKF’s northwest division.

The new offices will be adjacent to Santana Row’s Park Valencia section, a gathering area with shops and dining establishments along its edges.

“The location makes us even more accessible to regional, national and global clients with real es- tate needs in Silicon Valley and beyond,” Seufferlein said.

NKF has 12 offices in Northern California and has local roots associated with the Cornish & Carey commercial realty brokerage that stretches back eight decades.

The brokerage also is the leasing agent for 700 Santana Row, an underconstruction office building that totals 291,000 square feet.

About 65 NKF employ- ees will be based in the new Santana Row offices, the brokerage stated.

“We are thrilled to welcome NKF to the Santana Row community, where they join nine other companies already located here,” said Jan Sweetnam, chief operating officer for Federal Realty’s western region. “It’s another milestone in Santana Row’s expansion to provide more office space for growth companies and headquarters operations.”
