Easter parades, egg hunts this weekend

Here’s a roundup of some of the many egg hunts and related Easter activities going on this weekend in the South Bay, on the Peninsula and in southern Alameda County. Parades are scheduled for Saturday in Campbell and San Mateo and Sunday in San Francisco. Find more East Bay events at www.mercurynew­s.com.

• Campbell Eggstravag­anza & 20th annual Bunnies and Bonnets parade: 9 a. m. Saturday, Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Ave. Egg hunt, bouncy houses, face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Sidewalk chalk- art contest for ages 5-12. Egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. for ages 1-12. The Easter parade at noon features marching bands, dancers and community groups. Free.

• 41st annual City of San Mateo Eggstravag­anza: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Central Park, 50 East Fifth Ave., San Mateo. • Epic Easter Egg Drop: 9 a.m.-noon Sunday, Southridge Church events at Oak Grove High School Football Field, 285 Blossom Hill Road, San Jose.
