Police in­ves­ti­gate dou­ble homi­cide; four in last 11 days

SANJOSE » Police are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a dou­ble homi­cide af­ter aman and wo­man were found shot to death Wed­nes­day night in the east foothills, San Jose’s ninth and 10th ho- mi­cides of 2018.

The shoot­ing marks the city’s sec­ond and third homi­cide this week, and the fourth in 11 days, fol­low­ing a stretch of three months with­out one.

Wed­nes­day at about 10:03 p.m., San Jose police re­sponded to a re- port of a per­son shot in the 3800 block of Sierra Road, ac­cord­ing to Sgt. En­rique Gar­cia. The vic­tims were found ly­ing on the road by a pass­ing motorist, police said.

When of­fi­cers ar­rived, they lo­cated a man and wo­man each suf­fer­ing from at least one gun­shot wound. The two vic­tims were both pro­nounced de­ceased at the scene.

No sus­pects have been iden­ti­fied or ap­pre­hended, ac­cord­ing to police.
