Reflect on our values aswe honor RFK, vote on Tuesday

- — Richard Twohy, San Jose

Millions of Americans will vote this coming Tuesday, in primary elections in various states.

June 5, 2018, also marks 50 years since Bobby Kennedy was murdered in Los Angeles — shattering yet another piece of our American dream — as he celebrated winning California in the 1968 primary election for president.

This can be a worthy moment for our national family, an opportunity, in the choices we make that day, to help one another heal, as we help to create the “more perfect Union” mentioned in our Declaration of Independence.

RFK stood for the best of our wonderful country. Let us reflect on our American values as we take the time to honor him, and each other, on Tuesday.
