Position: Left field Class: Senior The 6-foot-7, Pomona College-bound standout had one heck of a Central Coast Section Division I championsh­ip game, going 3 for 3with two doubles and three RBIs, as 11th-seeded Los Altos completed its improbable run to the title with a 5-3victory over top-seeded Bellarmine College Prep at Municipal Stadium. Heck’s two-run double to left tied the score 2-2in the second, and his run-scoring double well over the left fielder in the sixth padded the advantage to 5-3. Had a .455batting average in the playoffs. Jazlynn Shearer, Silver Creek Sport: Track and field Events: Jumps, hurdles Class: Junior Sprained her ankle in the long jump at the Central Coast Section championsh­ips and still finished second in 18feet, 8 inches. Then won the 100hurdles in 13.94seconds, finished third in the triple jump in 40-31⁄4 and ran the lead leg on her school’s 4×100relay team, which took second in 48.16. Qualified for state in all four events while helping Silver Creek win its first CCS girls team title since 1977. East Bay Cameron Reynolds, Clayton Valley Charter Sport: Track and field Events: 200, 400, 4×400relay Class: Junior State leader in the 400finishe­d second in that event at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions in Berkeley, edged by Marin Catholic’s Max Glasser but came back to win the 200 and anchor Clayton Valley’s victory in the 4×400relay in 3minutes, 15.87seconds, a time that ranks fourth in the state. Won the 200in 21.58. In the 400, Reynolds ran in 47.56— not quite as fast as his state-leading 47.09— and Glasser won in 47.41. Tierra Robinson-Jones, Bishop O’Dowd Sport: Track and field Events: 200, 400, 4×100relay Class: Senior Broke an 8-year-old North Coast Section Meet of Champions record in the 400with a personal-best time of 52.69seconds, which ranks first in the state and fourth in the nation this season. Later, she won a third consecutiv­e section title in the 200, breaking a meet record in that event as well, running in 23.56. That time ranks second in the state. Also ran the second leg on O’Dowd’s winning 4×100relay team, which ran in 47.17.
