Your car might soon be more like your pet, or a toy that you had when you were a kid, according to Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk.

In a series of tweets early Thursday, Musk gave some details about Summon, Tesla’s self-parking feature.

There is an upgrade coming that Musk said will be available in less than six weeks, and will work on all Teslas made in the last two years.

But, what’s a software upgrade without some cool new things, right?

Musk said soon Summon will allow a Tesla to “drive around a parking lot, find an empty spot, read signs to confirm it’s valid & park.” Musk said those features will be available by 2019, which, if you look at the calendar, is just two months away.

Oh, and there is more. Musk, never one to miss a chance to hype up the capabilities of his company’s products, also had some fun with what he said Summon will bring to your Tesla experience.

“Car will drive to your phone location & follow you like a pet if you hold down summon button on Tesla app,” Musk tweeted, and then added “Also, you’ll be able to drive it from your phone remotely like a big RC (remote controlled) car if in line of sight.”

Makes sense. After all, the way many Tesla owners feel about their cars, they treat them like their pets and can’t take their eyes off their rides.
