Three more Camp Fire victims identified

CHICO » The Butte County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday night released the names of three more people killed in the Camp Fire.

They were identified as 49-year- old Dennis Clark, 69-year- old Sally Gamboa and 72-year- old Joy Porter, all of Paradise.

The three are among 85 killed in the fire, which ignited Nov. 8 and was fully contained Nov. 25. The sheriff’s office has tentativel­y identified 36 victims and positively identified 46 others.

No human remains were found Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, the number of people unaccounte­d for fell to 10. Meanwhile, the number of people accounted for rose to 3,271.

The Camp Fire consumed 153,336 acres and ranks as the most destructiv­e blaze in California history. Nearly 14,000 homes and more than 4,800 businesses were destroyed.
