HOW TO WATCH SATURDAY’S 49ERS- CARDINALS GAME STREAMING ON AMAZON

-

The holiday season has surely been filled with Amazon searches for many Americans staying home this year.

On Saturday afternoon, you can add a new one to the list. The 49ers’ game against the Arizona Cardinals ( 1: 30 p. m.) will air on broadcast TV in each team’s local market ( NBC in the Bay Area), but beyond that it will only be available through Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service or Amazon- owned Twitch streaming.

The Amazon Prime Video app is available for download on most streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire Stick — but the game is only available to Prime members on the app. Viewers can choose from alternate audio streams featuring Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer or the NFL Network group of Kay Adams, Bucky Brooks and

Daniel Jeremiah. It’s not clear which announcing team will be broadcast on NBC Bay Area.

The Twitch stream will be available online and feature former NFL players Andrew Hawkins and Chris Long, as well as broadcaster Cari Champion.

Some of those involved in the broadcast might be more recognizable to 49ers fans than the Niners’ players themselves. Injuries and illness have decimated the San Francisco roster, including further trouble for the quarterback depth chart this week as Nick Mullens faces elbow surgery and practicesquad backup Josh Johnson went on the COVID- 19list. Starting under center will be third- stringer C. J. Beathard, and his backup will be Josh Rosen, a former Cardinals top pick who the 49ers signed off the Buccaneers’ practice squad this week.
