Teen arrested in Christmas Day stabbing
A teen boy has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Mountain View on Christmas Day, police said
The stabbing was reported about 6 p.m. on the 500 block of Toft Street, the Mountain View Police Department said in a news release. Officers found the victim, also a teen boy, at his home nearby.
Police said the victim told officers the suspect had stabbed him multiple times in the back following a dispute. The victim treated for his injuries at a hospital and released.
A follow-up investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, police said. The weapon used in the alleged attack was also recovered. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police did not release the suspect’s name, age or city of residence because he is a minor.
