Tatum, Brown team up for Celtics

Jayson Tatum had 29 points and 11 rebounds, Jaylen Brown also scored 29 points and the Boston Celtics beat the Los Angeles Clippers 116-110 on Thursday night.

Derrick White scored 15 points and blocked Paul George's layup with 33 seconds left and Boston leading by three. Brown hit two free throws down the stretch and Tatum made one to ice it.

Marcus Smart had 17 points and nine assists and Grant Williams had 11 points and 10 boards for Boston, which won its fourth straight game.

Kawhi Leonard scored 26 for the Clippers, George had 24 points and Ivica Zubac had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

PACERS 135, CAVALIERS 126 >> Tyrese Haliburton scored 29 points and Buddy Hield made a 3-pointer three seconds into the game — an NBA record — and added 25 for host Indiana. Haliburton was 6 for 8 from 3-point range and Hield, who leads the NBA in 3-pointers, was 5 for 6. Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points to lead a balanced Cleveland offense.

GRIZZLIES 119, RAPTORS 106 >> Ja Morant had a careerhigh 17 assists and scored 19 points for visiting Memphis. Dillon Brooks scored 25 points, Desmond Bane had 16 before fouling out. Pascal Siakam had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Toronto before fouling out. The Raptors have lost five straight.

HORNETS 121, THUNDER 113 >> LaMelo Ball had 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for host Charlotte, which won for just the third time in its past 14 games. P.J. Washington added 25 points on 10 of 13 shooting. Shai GilgeousAl­exander had 28 points for Oklahoma City. Luguentz Dort added 22 points.

NOTE >> Detroit guard Killian Hayes and Orlando's Moritz Wagner were each given multi-game suspension­s for their roles in a scuffle during a game Wednesday, while the NBA suspended eight Magic players one game apiece Thursday for leaving the bench area during an altercatio­n. Hayes was suspended three games without pay, Wagner two.
