Barbara Lake Hinman
83 years Los Gatos
It is with broken hearts that we share that our sweet mother, Barbara Lake Hinman, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Sunday, January 29th. She brought brightness and joy to so many through her 83 years in this life, and we will all miss her a great deal. She joins many who have gone before, including her loving husband Andy, her grandson Tony, her parents James and Pearl Lake and her sisters Pat Hintergardt and Jean Lake. Barbara was at peace knowing they would all be there to greet her.
She loved her family, her friends, her church, her little dog Buddy, her 49ers, her seasonal decorating, and her wine. She was a social being with a zest for life who enjoyed taking part in many adventures through the years. Even with her mobility challenges, she managed to make the most of every occasion, party or trip. She'll continue to live on through all of us and we're positive she'll be smiling as we bring our memories of her along with us as we continue with our life adventures.
Barbara is survived by her children, Kim Sweet, Karen Shields and Larry Edwards III, her sons-in-law Dennis Sweet and Michael Shields, her daughter-in-law Teresa Edwards, her grandchildren Brandi Asker, DJ Sweet, Kelley Sweet and Anthony Edwards, her grandson-in-law Damion Asker her great-grandchildren Sadie and Sara Asker, her sister Elaine Davidson, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, and her long-time friend Brenda Marney.
We know that she is awash in warm love and light, and that she's no longer in pain. She will be in our hearts forever.
