Here are our boys and girls Athletes of Week

Mills basketball player Michelle Tang is the Bay Area News Group's girls athlete of the week and Mountain View soccer player Parker Lunn is the boys athlete of the week for Feb. 20-25.

In the girls poll, Tang received 7,354 votes (30.83%), finishing ahead of Carondelet soccer player Lauren Kenny's 5,421 votes (22.72%). Menlo School basketball player Karen Xin finished third.

Tang, a junior, nailed six 3-pointers in Mills' 66-52 victory over Santa Cruz in the CCS D-III championsh­ip. The junior sharpshoot­er scored 28 points en route to helping Mills win its first section title since 1985.

In the boys poll, Lunn received 14,652 votes (42.45%), finishing ahead of Dougherty Valley basketball player Aadi Malali's 12,453 votes (36.08%). Bellarmine basketball player Brayden Harris finished third.

Lunn, a sophomore goalkeeper, finished with three clean sheets as the seventh-seeded team captured the CCS Open Division championsh­ip. In the quarterfin­als against No. 2 seed St. Francis, Lunn made three clutch saves in a penalty-kick shootout that determined the outcome. In a 2-0 semifinal win over Sacred Heart Prep, he made two saves on breakaways. Then, in the final, he shut out top-seeded Alisal 1-0.
