Six injured in crash involving two copters

Six people suffered minor injuries Saturday in a crash involving two Pasadena police helicopters at a heliport, authorities said.

The injured, all believed to be police department employees, were taken to a hospital for further evaluations, Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.

She said she didn’t know the circumstances that led to the accident and declined to describe the extent of the damages to the helicopters. Police Sgt. Ed Calatayud said he had no immediate details on what happened. He said the department will notify the FAA to investigate the cause of the crash.
