Brett Hundley passed for 234 yards and a touchdown and rushed for two more scores as No. 17 UCLA beat No. 21 USC 3828 Saturday in Pasadena, clinching the Pac- 12 South title and emphatically snapping a five- game losing streak in their crosstown showdown.
Eric Kendricks blocked a punt and made a fourthquarter interception for the Bruins ( 9- 2, 6- 2 Pac- 12), who overcame intermittent second- half rain and USC’s star- studded lineup with a steady effort.
A year after USC obliterated the Bruins 50- 0 in a game that led to a coaching change in Westwood, UCLA punctuated its oneyear revitalization under coach Jim Mora with its first win over the Trojans ( 7- 4, 5- 4) since 2006 — just their second in 14 years.

“I can’t argue that,” said Kiffin, who has been assured he’ll return by athletic director Pat Haden. “When you lose the game, you can’t argue. That’s why they play the games, so congrats to them. Obviously, we’re not thrilled about it, but we’re going to get it fixed.”
Matt Barkley passed for 301 yards and three touchdowns but threw two interceptions and took a hard hit from Anthony Barr late in the game.
Johnathan Franklin rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns for UCLA, including a clutch 29- yard scoring run with 4: 02 to play after USC trimmed its deficit to three points.
Shaquelle Evans had eight catches for 114 yards for UCLA, which won its fifth straight.
Utah State 48, Louisiana Tech 41: Kerwynn Williams scored on a 4yard touchdown run to give Utah State a lead in overtime, and the Aggies stopped Louisiana Tech on four plays to clinch at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference championship.
Chuckie Keeton threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns for Utah State ( 9- 2, 5- 0), which let a 24- point, third- quarter lead slip away against No. 19 Louisiana Tech ( 9- 2, 4- 1).
Louisiana Tech’s Colby Cameron was intercepted late in the second quarter, snapping his NCAA- record streak of 445 pass attempts without an interception.
Arizona 34, Utah 24: Ka’Deem Carey rushed for 204 yards and Arizona scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats guaranteed host Utah its first losing season since 2002.
Utah ( 4- 7, 2- 6 Pac- 12) took a 24- 17 lead on Travis Wilson’s 36- yard touch down pass to De Vonte Christopher late in the third quarter, but Arizona ( 7- 4, 4- 4) answered with touchdowns 3 minutes apart early in the fourth.
Washington 38, Colorado 3: Keith Price threw a career best five touchdown passes and visiting Washington over came a slow start for its fourth straight win.
Bishop Sankey atoned for a first- half fumble at the 1 by running for 139 yards and collecting 48 more on four receptions as the Huskies ( 7- 4, 5- 3 Pac- 12) won consecutive road games for just the second time in the last decade.
Colorado fell to 1- 10, 1- 7 Pac- 12.
Arizona State 46, Washington State 7: Quarterbacks Taylor Kelly and Michael Eubank accounted for six touchdowns, and host Arizona State ( 6- 5, 4- 4 Pac- 12) ended a four- game losing streak. Washington State ( 2- 9, 0- 8) allowed 561 total yards rushed for 1 yard on 19 carries.
Kelly threw for four touchdowns and Eubank had one on the ground and one through the air for Arizona State.
