Chris Brown may have lied about community service

-

Authorities say Chris Brown violated his probation from the Rihanna assault case by submitting fake documentation of the community service work he was supposed to do.

You can’t expect a busy celebrity like Chris Brown to do community service when he has a packed schedule of punching people and ranting on Twitter about how he’s so misunderstood.

The Los Angeles County district attorney says Brown lied when he claimed he had performed all of his community service in connection with the Rihanna beating case, according to TMZ.

Bryan Norwood, the chief of police in Richmond, Va., wrote to the judge in September, saying Brown completed 202 days of community service .

Norwood provided documents saying Brown worked at Tappahannock Children’s Center — where his mother was once a director— doing odd jobs like painting and washing windows. The judge got suspicious and the DA found no “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that Brown did the 180 days community service, sources told TMZ. Apparently, some of the days Brown was allegedly doing community service, he was also out of the country doing concerts.

The DA said Brown’s documentation is “at best sloppy, and at worst fraudulent reporting,” and asked the judge to reject the Virginia community service hours and make him fulfill his obligation in Los Angeles County.

TMZ reported that the DA said Brown’s mother was responsible for orchestrating work at the children’s center outside normal hours, and a key administrator told the DA she never saw Brown working at the center.
