Bulls 92, Spurs 89: Pau Gasol had 18 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots, and Chicago snapped San Antonio’s five-game winning streak. Gasol blocked LaMarcus Aldridge on a drive with 1:06 left, then hit one of two foul shots on the other end for a 90-89 lead. The Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker each missed 3-point attempts in the final seconds.

Blazers 87: Blake Griffin scored 23 points, DeAndre Jordan had a seasonhigh 24 rebounds along with 18 points, and Los Angeles beat Portland in a game that saw each team’s starting point guard leave in the third quarter: the Clippers’ Chris Paul because of a strained rib muscle and the Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard because of abdominal pain. Lillard finished with seven points and no assists in 17 minutes. He has led Portland in scoring in 15 of its first 18 games. Jordan was 12 for 34 from the free-throw line. Pistons 116, Rockets 105: Reggie Jackson had 31 points and Andre Drummond added 24 points and 13 rebounds as Detroit beat Houston. Kings 112, Mavericks 98: DeMarcus Cousins scored 16 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, and Sacramento beat struggling Dallas. The Kings had dropped six straight to the Mavericks and 21 of the previous 23 meetings.

Hornets: Charlotte says stalwart center Al Jefferson will miss approximat­ely two to three weeks with a strained left calf. The Warriors visit the Hornets on Wednesday.
