DON’T MISS: The 70th Annual Tony Awards — Late-night funny guy (and Tony winner) James Corden hosts the celebration of Broadway’s finest from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Expect “Hamilton” to dominate. The hip-hop musical phenomenon leads all productions with 16 nominations, the most ever, and the cast is expected to perform an excerpt from the show. 8 p.m. Sunday, CBS.

Other bets

SUNDAY: “The Last Ship” sets sail with a two-hour season premiere as Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his crew continue their quest to save humanity after a devastating pandemic. Not to be negative, but it certainly is taking them a long time to do so. 9 p.m., TNT.

SUNDAY: “Ride with Norman Reedus” follows “The Walking Dead” star and motorcycle enthusiast as he hits the open road to explore biker culture. Let’s hope he doesn’t run into any zombies along the way. 10 p.m., AMC.

MONDAY: In the melodramatic new whodunit “Guilt,” the search for a killer begins after a young woman is murdered in her London flat. It all leads to scandal and sordid intrigue stretching all the way from underground sex clubs to the highest levels of the Royal Family. 9 p.m., Freeform.

MONDAY: So this is what’s been going on in Washington! The funky political satire “BrainDead” is tied to the discovery that members of Congress have become victimized by an invasion of brain-eating bugs. 10 p.m., CBS.

MONDAY: From the sadistic producers of “American Ninja Warrior” comes an even more brutal test of fitness: “Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge.” Contestants try to push through the pain and win $250,000. 10 p.m., NBC.

TUESDAY: “Uncle Buck” just turned black and lost a lot of weight. Mike Epps headlines a sitcom remake of the 1989 John Hughes film starring John Candy. 9 p.m., ABC.

TUESDAY: “Animal Kingdom” is a gritty new drama about a tough-asnails matriarch (Ellen Barkin) of an organized crime family in a sleepy Southern California beach town. Think “The Sopranos” with estrogen and surf boards. 9 p.m., TNT.

WEDNESDAY: In the Season 2 premiere of the zany comedy “Another Period,” Lillian and Beatrice (Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome) get advice from Harriet Tubman on how to create their personal brand. 10 p.m., Comedy Central.

THURSDAY: It’s the dawning of a new age of “Aquarius.” As the period crime series returns, Los Angeles detective Sam Hodiak (David Duchovny) continues to chase down commune leader Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony). 9 p.m., NBC.

FRIDAY: “The Amber Rose Show” is a chat fest that has “Muva” bringing her frank point of view to the late-night scene and conducting unfiltered conversations with guests about pop culture, parenting, relationships and more. 11 p.m., VH1.

SATURDAY: James Franco made a lesbian vampire movie called “Mother, May I Sleep With Danger.” It’s inspired by a 1996 TV flick starring Tori Spelling. That’s all we need to know. We’re in. 8 p.m., Lifetime.
